What is a target rate in the NFL

In the NFL, a target is the number of times a player has a pass thrown in his direction.

The target rate would be the percentage of team targets that a wide receiver receives.

The player with the highest target rate in a season is Marvin Harrison with 205 targets in 2002. He played for the Indianapolis Colts.
