A shutout in the NFL is when one team wins the game and prevents the other team from scoring.

Shutouts are a rare phenomenon in the NFL.

Recently, on 20th November 2023, the Philadelphia Eagles achieved a shutout against the Kansas City Chiefs in the last two quarters of the game.

The biggest shutout in NFL history happened in 1940 when the Chicago Bears shut out Washington Redskins to win 73-0.
