Report: Unnamed NFL Player Lost $8 Million Gambling Last Season
In 2022, an NFL player reportedly lost 8 million USD due to sports gambling, according to a league source cited by ProFootball Talk's Mike Florio.
The report did not disclose if the player is among the five already suspended this offseason for violations.
The NFL policy prohibits NFL players from betting on football games but allows them to place bets on sports other than the NFL legally.
In April, five players, four of who were from the Detroit Lions, were suspended for breaching this policy.
The NFL solely frames the NFL gambling policy without input from the NFL players association.
