Joe Burrow: From Heisman Winner to NFL Superstar

Joe Burrow is one of the most decorated quarterbacks in college football history. He is a  Heisman Trophy winner, and the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Burrow began his collegiate career at Ohio State University, where he was a backup quarterback for two seasons. He then transferred to Louisiana State University, where he became the starting quarterback and led the LSU Tigers to a 15-0 record and a national championship in 2019.

Burrow was born in Athens, Ohio, on December 10, 1996. He is the son of Jimmy and Robin Burrow. His father is a former college football coach, and his brothers, Jamie and Dan, both played football at Ohio State.

Burrow enrolled at Ohio State University in 2015 and redshirted his first year. He saw limited action in 2016, appearing in just four games. He then served as the backup to J.T. Barrett in 2017.

Burrow entered the 2018 NFL Draft as one of the most highly touted quarterbacks in recent memory.


Burrow had a stellar rookie season in 2020, completing 65.3 percent of his passes for 3,687 yards and 38 touchdowns. His play helped the Bengals improve from 2-14 in 2019 to 4-11-1 in 2020. Joe Burrow was named the NFL's Comeback Player Of The Year in 2021.

Personal Life

Joe Burrow is currently dating Olivia Holzmacher. The couple has been together since 2017 and their relationship appears to be going strong. Olivia has been working as an Analyst for Kroger since 2019.

The couple has been very public about their relationship and often posts pictures of each other on social media. They seem very happy together and appear to have a strong relationship.

It is unclear if the couple is planning on getting married or not, but they seem to be very happy with each other and are enjoying their life together.


Burrow has all the tools to be a successful NFL quarterback. He has a strong arm, accuracy, mobility, and intelligence. He also has the rare ability to make something out of nothing, which was on display numerous times during his rookie season.

If the Bengals can keep him healthy, Burrow has the potential to be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL for years to come.
