Former Georgia Bulldogs Kicker Rodrigo Blankenship Finds New Home in Tampa Bay After Impressive Tryout
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed former Georgia Bulldogs standout kicker Rodrigo Blankenship after a successful tryout during the minicamp.
In the past, Blankenship played for both the Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts. The Colts released him after he missed a potential game-winning field goal in week 1 against the Houston Texans.
There was a lot of interest from other teams, but Blankenship chose to sign with Tampa Bay.
He has good career stats with a career-long field goal of 53 yards.
He boasts 80 out of 97 career field goals during his time with the Georgia Bulldogs from 2016 to 2019.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirmed that Blankenship has signed with the Buccaneers through Twitter and is in good health.
